Geithner Says Stress Tests Found No Insolvent Banks

Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner said Wednesday that none of the 19 financial institutions that underwent government stress tests were insolvent and the results would reassure the public that the American financial system is sound.
While some banks will need to raise more capital, there are a number of ways they can do that and most should be able to do it in the private sector, Mr. Geithner said in an interview with Charlie Rose scheduled to shown on PBS on Wednesday night.
